Well...Had the Chugga Waggon to the garage this morning. (PROBLEM - wandering on the road) Good and Bad news. All the suspension bushes, steering joints and tracking are solid. Bad news... Still don't know what's causing the problem. Steering's bee adjusted and tyre pressures are OK. I'm lost !!

Standard sized tryes? ... when you say wandering does it feel like its the front or back causing it. Could be something like tired springs/leafs ... dodgy camber .. tired shocks.

Thats a standard tyre size and to be honest Khumo tyres should be fairly solid though as I had them on my old LWB and it handled remarkably well. Is it only going around right hand bends?

Two tyres on the front of my sport today. Not normally worthy of note but I paid £100 fitted for two 'part worns' that look like they've never seen the road, and the guy was actually helpful. I was so surprised, I thought I'd post it!

I took mine to my friendly mechanic to fit 4 part worns which I got on ebay for £31. Yup thirty one pounds for all 4, no repairs or bulges with even wear (+24.99 delivery). Ones only got 4 mill so I'm looking for a better nexen roadian A/T 255/65/16. While he's got it he's adjusting steering, wheel bearings and handbrake. So unless the engine drops power again I'll be ready for a weeks caravanning.

Doing stuff most of day with my car (still need to think of a name although bit of paper in the car from original owner shows it was called Blacktor)

Replaced the battery, started her up after couple of months standing, purrs like a demented diesel powered kitten.
Measured the boot for a project i have (design and pics will be posted later)
Cleaned her a bit, somehow mud has gotten on it since i last cleaned it? its in a bloody car park!

Fitted a brand new power sounder to my dads truck.And done an oil and filter change.

Well to day, i put my belly plates back on,and went to sort out,my light bar and fog lights,as they have packet up again but then it started to pee down
so i packed up and went for a drive down a couple of green lanes instead

Did some very light off-roading today in a muddy field whilst at work. God that was fun...can't wait til I get the chance do do some proper stuff!

Welded up the front diff on the li'll white leafer seeing as bust it the other week...
Might do a "how NOT to" later on diff welding....
....you are supposed to take the front diff out...
....not cut the back of the axle out with a plasma cutter and weld the diff in the axle! saves about 4 hours though!!!

I have brushed out the inside, and half filled a carrier bag full of sand and dried mud thank god I have a rubber floor
I then resoldered the cb coax to the plug but think the mic is u/s and refitted the areal mount for better contact metal to metal.

And then started the lubrication process ready for my axle swap

While I did that she did the front garden and now I have to sort the back garden, lovely and sunny

what did i do, nothing to the truck today, ordered lots of bits from ebay tho, oil filter removal tool (3 prong type) , a drain plug and hose for sump, an oil filter, (yay for 6000mile filter changes) , and ordered led trailer lights for the back as hight markers and ordered some crystal rear lights for it as well, pics will follow when all fixed up and working


does anyone know if anywhere does angel eye projector headlights for the frontera or are we stuck with the vx ones

Well to day i did some lanes,with a couple of mates,came home did the repairs ,front fogs full with water ,cleaned them up,and refitted with new bulbs
And the rear crankshaft seal has totally gone,coniston run of oil and i will have to drive the jimmy next week,witch i hate

OOOOOOOOW The wife is away,and she has left me the bank card

So truck booked in for new clutch and rear crank shaft seal,for next week,by 24 hour Redditch clutch and break down center

tok headlights out, cleaned and dried, fitted new bolts into winch, fitted 12volt supply in rear, started on air tank for rear. even found somewhere to hide it and a nice place for the compressor . no pics till finished

Remember the compressor will need to keep cool as they get hot (I know you know that lol)

compressor will be very cool where it is. . got a nice litte tank for it, courtesy of a very good friend, and fits a treat. . just got to get an adjustable pressure switch and then fit it all.
