Well I finally managed to get the Rover firing up under it's own power

After an hour of very systematic deduction, it turned out to be a loose connection between starter motor and ignition :oh yer:

Also discovered that I need a temp gauge sender unit  and that my aux drive belt is quite difficult to get hold of :?

Still plenty more I can be getting on with :D
If you're sat there thinking things just can't get any worse, just wait......

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Postby Trugga on Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:59 pm

Yesterday on a whim (up at Bobby4x4's to collect some woo woo's) I decided to remove the bash plate of the SWB - 8 bolts and it was off (I was going to take it off any way, but decided to do it with plenty of assistance to call upon should it be needed)

Then I realised - how was I going to transport it home... With a bit of head scratching, Alchamist managed to get it in the back of the sport on it's side, between the front seat and the roll cage, with only a bit sticking out the rear window (which had to be removed).

New exhaust being fitted Thursday, then refit the bash plate and of to Whales we go.
