Found out where my water is disappearing from, a week away from Bala :( , radiator weeping in bottom corner....Not loosing too much water, around an inch in the expansion bottle over 400 to 450 miles (mostly motorway @ 60 > 70 ish) think that it will survive a trip to Bala, just have to be a little careful about mud in rad and keep an eye on levels. coolant change friday morning before I leave i think, just to be sure.. 8)

would replace it but the coinage seems to have vanished, thanks wife....well payday next week, just not enough time to get a replacement sorted....oh lets hope that rad weld works for a week or two.

Jon Ive got some liquid metal and some metal putty here if that helps?

You can pop over for it, I will be bringing it to Bala anyway, just let me know and Ill pm you my addy

If you do it before it gets worse you will at least save on anti freeze.

Well i had the starter motor give up on me friday so went to get another one from the vx breakers near me today only for me to break down on the way because both fuel hoses in the engine bay burst. I had to get recovered home but now all been sorted :D

Is that the two part stuff, you mix up or is it like the swiss roll thing? is so I've got both :) just a little unsure of how to use it. it's only a weep/seep rather than a flowing leak, I can dry and clean it and nothing happens for a couple of days providing i don't push it too hard. just a little concerned about how much pressure I'll end up putting on the system in Bala, what with it being just a 2ltr an all that.

Thanks for the offer, hopefully I'll have a Twig for the newly purchased s/h cheap cb to give you a rescue call by then...cb fitted, but no aerial..pointless really..but watch this space or just listen friday afternoon..plans are afoot or two..

already told wife that the fronty might come home...and if it does it could be a bit wounded...apparently I'm not allowed to use the 206, I'm assuming that she means once i'm home rather than at Bala..

Ive got the stuff you mix that is in separate tubes and the the stick type stuff where you cut a bit off and knead it, I also have a type thats in a tube but you use it like silicone with an applicator gun so all bases covered, this stuff sets really hard so well worth trying as a temporary fix.

sound like most of the stuff i've got, apart from the silicon applicator stuff. The weep seems to be right down in the bottom corner, just in the frame of the rad. so the applicator thingymebob could be the answer.. we'll have a looksee once we get to bala or andy's. to be honest it's not a major leak, just yet another of them annoying ones. Don't get any overheating problems so far....Famous last word ehh

Decided to see why the clutch pedal started to klick and wished i hadn't looked. Now to find that other link to register with vx. I will have to and make a temp repair tomorow as taking a folding caravan up to Abingdon in the afternoon and starting a new job there on monday at Honda.

Gah, that reminds me... Must wire in the towing electrics again, as I have caravans to be pulling in June.

All I've done to the car today is fill it up with car parts and stuff, lol

Well, it's fitted - not too sure how practicle it will be though, but we'll see in time.

In day to day use - just sitting there, not doing anything important:
Image

Ready for use with the rubber mat fitted:
Image

And finally, doing what it was designed to do - hold shackles close at hand (saves hunting in the boot for the shackles when in the heat of battle on a winch challenge event):
Image

Also, fitted some insulating rubber sheet to the battery terminals

Also, hopefully later today, will get the bucket seats fitted (my mates motorbike has broken down in Oswestry, with him on it  )
