I put in the new tax disc and gave her a squirt of some smelly stuff to keep her nice and fresh inside.
Also wrote a little notebook (with contents and everything), for planning my future mod's. Can't wait to get started!!

Thought about changing the other ball joint as the MOT is due but was feeling full of cold and a bit snotty so stayed inside by the fire and felt sorry for myself instead.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Refitted the rubber gearstick gaiter in the 2.8lwb...cos Sally complained that her handbag got wet when I drove through some 2ft deep floods the other day!!

Tried retorqueing the noisy front wheel bearing...its now much much.....tighter but sadly no quieter!

Moved the caravan to its new parking space...only to find has approx 100kg of negative nose weight....found this out when I buzzed the last jack at the rear up with the cordless impact wrench and I got wedged between the caravan and the motorhome parked right behind it, as the nose of the van pointed to the sky!!! :oh yer:
Buzzed the jack back down, hitched the car up to it and then it was fine....
MUST REMEMBER to reload the van before wind the rear jacks up again!!!!

Then tried to find all the bits for the nitrous fogger kit that is up the workshop...need to stop the li'll white leafer bogging down on the dumpers and a 50bhp squirt would do just the jobby and keep the revs up when they needed...
found most of the bits but cant find some of the solenoid valves and the 5th injector...
Will have another look another day 8) 8) 8)

Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again...
She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body...
Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer!

Changed offside lower ball joint.
Had a fiddle with the handbrake. Marginally better but for some reason the nearside aint locking up? Will have to have a proper look tomorrow.
Popped an extra shim in the offside upper control arm. Camber now spot on again.
Discovered a loose earth connection for the offside xenon balast so nipped that up.
Nipped up the nearside wheel bearing.

And all because the dreaded MOT is due on friday.

Need to see if I can find the rest of the bits...reckon I might need to extend the temperature gauge half way up the windscreen though

Failing that a fella I know still has a turbo conversion on a 2.0i 8v in his garden, that he used to run in his cavvy...might have to pay him a visit...
Sneezing li'll white leafer...now that would be cool...
only problem is you only hear the dump valve when you lift off...so I guess no-one would get to hear mine :(

Thought about fixing the handbrake but got distracted by a leaky exhaust manifold so I changed it and removed the air intake resonator and secondary air injection system instead.

Handbrake and maybe new exhaust tomorrow.

Very productive couple of days, changed the power steering pump (lost lots of skin), managed to get front bash plate off (2 cans of WD40 later), fixed central locking to rear doors and got bash plates painted. Just gotta find out why the rear passenger side window wont open. Power is going to the switch but when you press it all the electrics in the car dim down to off but nothing happening to the window. Wiring looks ok but not had a good luck yet.

Shoved the child seat in the front plonked my 6 year old son in the child seat folded the back seats down an put the three wheeled bmx in the back. Drove too the BMX course to let my son have his first go. It was muddy and the ground was soft and his three wheeled bmx thing was no use so we went round the park. Saw a squirrel right next to us munching . Was a good day i got to be a DAD again for the day been a while since me and him had a day at the park together. My chest hurts from pushing him though god the air is cold.
