Well, yesterday morning I attempted to change my front brake flexi's, and bleed said brakes, but was it that simple?? No-oooo...
Managed to get both new hoses on yesterday, topped off the reservoir, checked for leaks, etc, but the bleed nuts defeated me. So I sprayed em all with WD40, and went to the football instead (happy days, my lot won 5-1  )

This morning then, roped in my lil' sis who'd popped round for a cuppa, and got the brakes bled off in jig time. Even jetwashed the old gal, seeing as I was dropping lumps of mud all over the close.

Result, nice sharp brakes again. And luvverly red hoses, too

Today was the Scottish Vauxhall owner meet, This was my first time going to a meet and the first time the fronty been for a run in 7 months. I met at 11 am at a macdonalds at the start of the m74 by a blue zafira and a mk 4 astra with the driver and passengers we took a small convoy to Largs on the west coast vai m74 then m8. Once on the largs road the scenery changed to snowy hills and frozen lochs bends and curves on a country road. The sport bounced happily long trying to keep up with the cars along the country road.
We reached Largs and were met by a man in a high viz vest charging £2 entry to the carpark for some reason the tickets he was given out were for a school canteen??.
I met the members and thier partners a nice bunch of folk with some nice cars. WE then went in a convoy of 8 ncarsdown the coast to Ayr where i saw a frontera like mine hopefully he saw the owners sticker on my front window, i didn`t have time to advertise to long as i was keeping up with the others 70mph wow.

Ayr was warmer than Largs and the chips were nice. I took some photo`s before we headed back to largs to say goodbye and head home was a good day and the frontera handled the varing roads type`s speed and conditions.

I had a great day and met some top people. Made all the hard work i done to get it on the road worth while

This was first day i did not have to go shopping first day away from wife and son in months I know i have earned it and was glad for it i was getting cabin fever.
The road was clear yet go to greenock few mile along the road and there was still snow present the roads were wet but snow was on the pavement. I would liked to of gone exploring some of the country lane`s i could see but if i got stuck i would be walking to the bus stop. There was a Vectra 3.2 V6 ecotech OOOh i want one .
Cannot complian about fuel economy considering it needs a full service and been idle it done well my bum got sore though by time i was home new seat a must. Not one issue mechanically. Maybe save up for a V6 sport

drained all fluid out of clutch system and replaced with new, bled the two bleed points (the one on the bulkhead and then the slave on gearbox) and all is well got a good clutch pedal back and the bite point has improved as well (not so close to floor now), the fluid i drained was black and thick so i'll be keeping an eye on that,

Did a lower ball joint on the B today, BJ wasnt that bad, but getting the sodding thing out from that silly pocket they made in the lower control arm is a pig. Then put the front prop back on, so thats the hex on any more snow this year.

Took Freya down the very muddy back lanes with Trailer and chainsaw in tow after the big storm we had Sunday (145kph winds). Great fun on the lanes, bit more difficult getting back with trailer ladened with windfall wood. Almost got stuck a couple of times where tractors had been down and left the lanes as muddy bogs. Anyway had such a good time went back and got another trailer full.
