Yeah I know there's only the A one, was just asking if the layout of things and the like are close enough to a B to make buying one worthwhile.

edit: Guess which muppet just remembered he'd got a manual on cd from ebay when he first got the car

Had to pay a farmer to pull me out of the sticky stuff......suppose £20 to get my truck back is pretty cheap.
Good fun though.

Not strictly today but yesterday:

Changed the oil and filter.
Replaced my rather bent and out of shape looking crossmember and bashplate with fancy new ones and by new I mean used but new to me ;-)
Nipped up a wheel bearing.
Changed the steering idler. Not for the faint hearted. Lots of swearing, a crow bar and a big hammer required.

Had a good nosey underneath and reckon it may be time for new control arm bushes and a centre tie rod.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Start to finish I reckon about an hour. Although I probably could have saved myself about 45 minutes by going straight in with the big hammer and the crowbar.

Initially tried using a puller and hammer and some shock & unlock and then a bigger hammer. All to no avail.

For future ref: Slacken the Idler arm to idler Nut. Insert a crowbar through the wheel arch so it hooks over the top of the idler arm and jack the other end until its taking the weight of the vehicle. You are using the chassis as the fulcrum point. Now bash the idler arm with a lump hammer. Took about 5 good hits and it separated with a big bang.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Today....shoved some grotty wheels on the 2.4 and put the pepper pots with the camac a/t's on the 2.8lwb...
Will refurb the 8x16 bk racing 5 spokes off the 2.8 before cloaking them in a nice set of insa turbo special tracks me thinks...

Fixed the headlight on the 2.8....broken wire in the harness between the loom and bulb holder socket thing...
Stopped some annoying rattles on the 2.8 by adjusting bonnet, tightening the bumper and refitting the grill...

Took it for a rumble....and rumble it did...osf wheel bearing needs doing :oh yer:

Its getting there though...
Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon!

Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again...
She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body...
Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer!
