Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Shoved a 2.2 San Diego up the jacksey with it!
The 2.2 had been suffering from a locked starter motor since Tuesday and it's my brothers (Basstech) so, I couldn't leave him stuck out in the sticks with no motor now, could I ? The good news is, we got it started again with a good shove down the road. If it fires up in the morning, he will be well happy Noli Illegitimi Carborundum

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Well done Phil you got a set, you won't regret it i promise.
I've never had to use main beam with these yet as dipped beam is well bright enough. Enjoy. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train,

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Finally got around to fitting my new springs and spacers
I think this one has done a bad thing .... ![]() The springs I got from Tom (many thanks again mate) were from a LWB and a bit longer than mine on the SWB .... ![]() Now looking like this .... ![]() Think the torsion bars need wound up a little more to level things out but I'll wait a day or two and see if the back end settles any. Not sure how much it's lifted (forgot to measure before i started While I was under there I saw the brake load valve thingy piston is stuck so that's the next job.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Looking good mate.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Tidied up the rest of the wiring for the new lights.
Cleaned up the stub axle and hub in preperation for the wheel bearing. Tested the compression on all 4 cylinders out of curiosity and they all averaged a shade over 200psi although I cant confirm the accuracy of the compression tester. Important thing is that they were all consistently high. Cant find exact compression figures for the x22xe anywhere so Im going to assume they are good.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Taken of starter motor not easy
I don't think it can be recon'd.
