Most A's had viscous fans, x20se and x22xe had lecky ones. V6 B had a viscous fan, all the others had lecky ones....

All diesel poopers and montegays, and hornybiguns, had a bonnet scoop replacing the bellows on earlier models, to cool the TMDBBQ (top mounted disposable Bar-b-que!)....

Subaru Imprezza's also have bonnet scoop.............so if you see a smaller car with a scoop its probably a corsa or saxo...

Still coughing up blood. Have doctors appointment tomorrow.

Just to keep on topic .. used the truck to take me to A&E after doing the above Saturday morning. Then again to the doctors, followed by using it to the hospital again for x-rays and blood tests. :(

Cured the leaking Moon Roof without resorting to silicone sealant, or glueing it shut with Tiger Seal..........

Finished off the exhaust centre section and fitted to the SWB. New rear tailpipe has arrived so this will need some tweaking to fit

Nipped up the rear top trailing arm bolts and cable tied rear axle breather and brake hoses

Painted drivers sill following the recent repairs, finished off the additional brackets for the rear bumper and painted these

Started looking at the front camber angles, since fitting the Calmini arms and BJ spacers it is way out

MOT is booked for Monday so no pressure

Finished painting the rack. Looks pretty good with its smooth edges and matt black finish. Just got to let the paint harden before I start putting bits on it (spare wheel, lights and waffle boards) then it'll be ready to use in the new year :D

I think you have it wrong Greg. The VM needs a constant supply of EML bulbs due to the over use ... its the 2.2 petrol that needs the coolant. If the VM needs additional coolant it just opens a valve and tops it up with oil from the sump ;)

Brakes bled

New bolts for ball joints and spacers

Filled with coolant hose split so cut back and ok now

Glow plugs done and checked volts -all good

Sealed airbox lid as its was sucking like a two bit wh**e

Number plate gaffa taped to bonnet

Checked rear axle breather, all clear so no choice but do the seal

Loads more to do but at least i can drive it again

Took it for MOT yesterday and it passed :D :D

But on the way back it developed a nasty grinding noise from the front and I have just discovered the moon roof leaks big time :(

Jacked up the from this morning to find a front brake pad had disintegrated, off to pick up a new set

Ended up having to change the caliper as well as the pads, bit of damage to the piston, brakes bled and it is all back together.

Moon roof off and drying out, gonna give the seals a clean tomorrow, smear with vasaline, adjust the catches and refit.
