banter general discussions etc

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY! by ianoneill1981 on Tue May 06, 2014 6:11 pm
went for an mot, wasn't too bad i don't think

Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate

Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content at idle excessive (7.3.D.5)

Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive (7.3.D.4)

Exhaust emissions Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits (7.3.D.4)

Main Brake pipe inadequately clipped (3.6.B.1)

Front 41% Brakes imbalanced across an axle (3.7.A.5b)

Both Headlamp aim too low and too far to the left. (1.8)

Nearside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2)

Service brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.A.7)

Advisory Notice issued

Nearside Front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)

Offside Front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)

should get back in a few days, i get cheapo rates at my mates garage so he fits me in half an hour here and there

he reckons he can run some cleaner through for emissions as the last owner replaced the cat in august, must be the oil im burning  maybe need to look into this a bit more as i may not get another mot out of it

Replaced the missing propshaft bolt that Snapper noticed. Changed some of the vac pipes and secured the front bash plate!
Oh took the fuel filler pipe off the silver beast for Horses45.

Well I did a bit of last minute spannering before I left Bala yesterday.

Fitted a bucket seat to Sophie, just in time for the drive home. Already on Fronty frame, and thanks to Bobby for selling it to me and bringing it down to Bala.
The drive home was lovely and comfortable, although I'll have to fit my adjustable steering column now as the bucket sits a little higher than a regular LWB seat.

Changed the hose that split on the way home from the Annual.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ;) )

Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck.

Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here
