Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Lifted it! I made up some 3" coil spacers for the rear for the price of 1 burnt finger due to a hole that randomly appeared in my gauntlet and then wound it up 2.5" on the front. Next - get 4" rear springs to replace the spacers and some +4" shocks, and then either longer arb links/ drop the arb mounts or just extend the ends of the arb.. desicions..

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Refitted the cleaned door mirror switch - no difference, still no heat. So, the covers are coming off and the wiring to the glasses is being examined.
Don't bother, summers coming I hear some say, aye right, fresh snow on the hills all day. Kodiak Transglobe 2.0 SWB

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Finally got the truck all back together so decided to take it for a quick run round the block, test the new clutch and all that.... Got down the bottom of the road no probs, clutch working well and all that. Even got round the corner and down the bottom of that road....
1 small roundabout and a left turn to go and I'm back home, doing well so far I thought. It's at this point I discover three things, firstly it seems that I was a bit more efficient than I thought when the clutch failed and after getting the truck home I got most of the fuel out the tank and into O-no's tank. Secondly I now know that the low fuel light actually works. Thirdly, rather than getting something like 30 miles when the light comes on I've just about got enough fuel left in the truck to park it and even then it's coasting time for a bit. Yup, ran out of go juice. OiC HF was not amused to get a phone call to come and get me with a can of D, something about it being after 1am was mentioned..... This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I did a little tinkering in the shed with some chequer plate, the CP wasnt long enough and a bit miss shaped but I am painting it matt black to help blend it in a bit more, again as usual its function over aesthetics
Its only on to test using sticky pads ![]() Tester for to see if the paint (stone chip) would pass the scratch test and it did ![]() More to do when the weather decides to help Ste

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Just got in from trying to sort the heater blower, I resoldered the tabs on the resistor, checked operation of the fan, still not working, never mind tomoro my quest shall continue
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Tried to acquire a set of pliers to release the mirror back tabs - no luck, will try Monday.
Rustynic, check to make sure the blower impellor is able to turn very freely (in case you hadn't checked it). If the tabs had "popped" and needed resoldering, then something in the circuit has has caused them to cook. Kodiak Transglobe 2.0 SWB
