Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Had lent Chrissy the Golf while her trucks off the road and what happens the exhaust decides to blow. Bought a new section yesterday and found the middle box had broken at the join aswel. Cut it back and thats it all good again. Moral of the story is if you want to find any faults with a motor let Chrissy drive it and sure as egg's is egg's she'l bust it!!!!!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I will put up an electric fence around my truck at the annual then. Bleeding thing is breaking faster than I can fix her at the moment. With the Chrissy touch it would be curtains.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Oil and filter change. Noticed after I emptied the old oil that I had bought 10W-40, not 15W-40, so I will have to see if she leaks. New air filter as well.

Either the DMF or clutch has died. Symptons: Car moving, bit of a clatter and then complete loss of drive. Car stopped, engine running, out of gear. Clattering noise from gear box area Car stopped, engine running, clutch depressed. Clattering noise Car being towed, engine off, out of gear. Clattering noise. Car being towed, engine on, out of gear. No clattering noise. Will look to take gearbox off for a looksee either this weekend or latest next weekend. Oh joy.... This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!That is both a shame and a relief Bobby
As for me I gave her an oil change and double checked the status of my coolant levels after the hose fix. Old oil was a black as sin, and I had a full system of coolant ... happy days. She is prepped for the trip to the Woods Picnic ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

It's official...... I'm breaking up with her. After giving her one last chance, spending hours getting her ready with the help of fudge & Rob, all that's left was a pampering (ie. wash, wax and interior clean) but this is how she pays me in return:
![]() Only problem is, I can't find where she blew her top from, as all the hoses appear to be fine. I'm REALLY hoping it's not what I fear it might be behind the cambelt case (thermostat housing) Needless to say, *bleep* off is an understatement as I was hoping to get her MOT'd this week then sold! Oh, then putting her back on all fours whilst she cooled down, this happened... ![]() Seems when I pumped the tyres up last week with a really good compressor (thanks fudge), it hadn't reseated the tyre at all. Grrrrrrrrrr, NOT HAPPY ![]() Don't confuse your books:
