Thanks Neal I don't no about any dates myself yet it all depends if I start a new job. Plus it would be an outside jobby cos I don't have a workshop but if I could borrow one then I would Travel because its too wet & cold outside.

I have a mate in Norwich with a heated, dry, full workshop and 4 post ramp lift. I can have a word with him tomorrow as I am using it to do my brake pads all round. I am sure he can spare some time/space for some beer tokens. Plus also he has the necessary tools for half shaft removal

Special tools for a Disco half shaft comes in the shape of a 13mm socket. Hub nut socket is a big fella, don't be tempted to use a chisel, get the right socket/box spanner.

went to collect an aprila 50cc scooter with no plastics. Couldent be bothered to take the trailer so just lay it down in the back

Broke it last Sunday, cancelled MOT for this morning and finally managed to get it fixed today.

Discovered a small rust hole in the primary brake line where it goes into the 'T' junction next to the front O/S suspension. Couldnt get the flange nut thing out so ended up having to cut the 'T' junction out of the circuit along with the through joint next to it and the pipework up to the master cylinder.

following 1 trip to the local Factors and another to Machine Mart I had all the bits to do the job.... Soon sused out that doing brake lines out in the yard with a stupid little torch for light and in the freezing rain aint fun. So binned the thing until this morning. All done now, fancy new bit of pipework is on, two in-line connectors linking the new bits to the rear pipework (which, on inspection looks okay) and all joints holding. Also flushed the old fluid out (and air... lots of air... LOTS of air). now have working brakes which will be strange and take some getting used to.

MOT re-booked for Tuesday, fingers crossed lol.

My truck's having a well earned rest tonight after about 800 miles of towing around the country whilst sorting things out & moving! Still more to shift tomorrow but all good fun.

Been an absolute star and well impressed with it, same with fudge's 2bodies, though some TLC due for them both - a well deserved wash & polish each, hehe!

Yes Andy, that's the fella. Just couldn' remenber the size, still got mine but haven't used it in a while.

Lub the bearings up really well as there is a seal in the stub axle (stub axle bolted to the end of the axle tube, said seal inside at axle tube end) that stops the diff oil getting into the hubs, so the only lub will be what you put in there. I know of people that cut a "V" at 6 and 12 o'clock in said seal to allow the diff oil to flow in and out of the hub and swear by it, others just leave the seal out. Never touched mine and had no issues though I used to strip the hubs annually anyway.

Yesterday adjusted the handbrake, 2 clicks and it was locked.

Today adjusted the handbrake, 6 clicks and it is locked.

Note to self, next time do it properly to start with.
