I know that my old R reg 2litre SWB was an inch Higher allround compared to my 2.8TD SWB ... so theres deff some difference.

Age (or saggyness) of the suspension could be a contributary factor, likewise the size of the engine (weight) and what's in the boot.

The leaf A's had slightly different front wing trims and bigger tyres as standard, which makes them look taller.

Besides, it's not how tall it is but what you do with it that counts.

well its old yes so maybe thats why, engine was a 2.4,had the drop down tailgate with an empty boot, the only weight was the the teddybears stuck to the windows.
mine is coil sprung so why is sat higher than the leaf sprung l reg.

quote / Besides, it's not how tall it is but what you do with it that counts. couldnt agree more,i use mine as a tow car and it dose a fine job  but i didnt ask who wants to get there fronty dirty so thats way off topic

Ok I miss read the post

The coils as yours are, and a younger car as Trugga was pointing out will sagg a bit less then the car you where next to as the age of the car, L reg with the same leaf suspension from new would have sagged considerably .

From new they would have both been the same give or take mm's.

The car you saw nay have hauled caravans aroud for 10 years... you never know

ye i agree i think the l reg has done its rounds,i dont think its towing though,it was pretty level,if it was a tow car the back end would sit low. still it was in damn good nick for its age so i hope mine looks that good at that age :)
