So guys you know how it is, wifey wants so many things & most she dont get but how can i give in to her hearts desire ?
It wasnt enough for me to make her 2.3 turbo diesel into a super truck by changing the lagging lump for an isuzu 2.8 turbo monster
Now she wants a dump valve !!!!
And for what ?
The sound !!!
But guess what, to have just the sound wouldn't really be enough, she wants to be able to tell people "I HAVE A DUMP VALVE".
How can i make this possible i ask
Well exchanging lumps & fabricating parts suit me fine but as for installing a dump valve im lost
Desperate help needed, as i write this all she's saying is i want a dump valve, i want a dump valve, I WANT A DUMP VALVE !!!!!!!!!!!
She's not really (grovel, grovel)

releases compressed gas to atmosphere so it dont slow the turbo down during gear change, its all noise on a derv, not worth it but it can be fitted, on any turbo eng

I'm sure you can get a bolt on kit for any manual gearbox car...
something along the lines of a switch that is connected to the clutch pedal and a loud speaker that is fixed under the car.
When you press the clutch in, you get a shhh sound out of the speaker.
I don't know where you would get one from though.

although i dont know anything about diesel engines i know a bit about petrol dump valves. dump valves stop the turbo stalling but without a dump valve the standard valve does same job except it routes the air back to the air box so the maf can adjust fuel amounts (dump valves can cause many problems, oil being thinned down too much by fuel or borewash). with air being dumped to atmosphere the maf does not know the air has been blown out causing overfueling. this is why you can hear many subaru's popping away (back firing) i have dump valve and it sounds great also love the pops and bangs, letting off the gas pedal near bus stops is very amusing as people think there bus is pulling up however i don't let girl friend in car anymore as every pshhhhhh and she bursts out laughing
