Just got finished unloading the truck after our first FOG annual meet...and what can I say...
It was Brill...
Was great to meet loads of members who have been acquaintances on FOG for ages, and share a few tinnies and some mud!
Big Thanks to all those who organised the event and were instrumental in its success...
Managed to get our freshly painted 2.8lwb very muddy...and stuck...AndyTats lad is my hero for wading in with the tow strop (as he was wearing wellies...even though the mud was much deeper than his welly's) and Kel and Andy for the double truck drag out of the swamp!
Truck was fine...a bit damp inside (3" of sludge in the footwells) and the central locking and indicators are fried but it still runs fine...
Hope no-one was too shocked with my "redneck-engineering" repairs on various trucks...
A big thanks also from Roma for everyones cooperation, and to Roo for the bed and bowls, and to Rob/Audra for her dinner treats...
Will upload and post some pickies in a bit...but just wanted to bang a quick post in and say a huge thanks to everyone for making us so welcome as it such a great weekend...
PS.... For those who said that Bobbinsjob should forfeit his "most broke" award as his truck was rednecked back into life to drive home....
.....it didnt make it far before the oil pressure went and ended up getting towed by a proper truck (2.8

) back to his friends house in Kettering, with binding brakes n all!...

Thanks to Kel for draggin his trailer and Rob for running block for us so we could keep moving...
