The I phone will not receive or send photos or data to or from any other type of phone :(
as for putting music on you need to install iTunes and set up an account. Once you have installed iTunes this will automaticlly sync or your music from your pc to your iTunes which will take a long time if you have loads of music. Once the music has been synced to iTunes you just pick up the album you want and drop it on the iPhone picher and the jobs a goodun

If the music you want is already on the pc, download mediamonkey and it'll sync with your ipod/iphone without any of that apple nonsense.

Or get a proper phone like an android

Chill Andy.

Once mp3 jobbies are on the pc, select folder to add music in Itunes. Then convert to aac instead of MP3, will make new copies in the version the Iphone reads. Then add to playlist and add to phone.

Sounds more difficult than it is.

Handy as I have lots n lots of Mp3's I didnt fancy paying for but wanted on phone

If stuck call me.

Not so mate. I've got a couple of bits cut out from mp3's that are ringtones.
It's not a particularly difficult job either, just open up the mp3 in question in something like Audacity, you can then just cut out the bit of the file you want, and IIRC iTunes will import it as a ringtone. I may be slightly wrong, but a quick Google will sort you out. Mine's not jailbroken or anything fancy either.

I'm with Andy on this one.
I've got a Samsung which is just about as technical as I can handle. Tried a i phone and after about 10mins playing with it decided that since I can turn off the wifes i pod, it's probably not going to be any good for me. Technology is quickly overtaking the human mind..so it's only the under 16's that really know how to use it, as their minds are fresh and willing to accept new information. Ours are easily confused, once we finally got the hang of setting the timer on the VCR, out comes DVD...then it's sky+...and so on and so on.is it any wonder that we are driving motors that are (in general) over a decade old?

anyway, what happened to the telephone, that was only a device for making and recieving telephone calls and that was it's sole function. Now it's a camera, internet machine, satnav, music player, tv player etc etc
The greatest lesson in life is to know that even us idiots are right sometimes
