Google chrome??

What is this google chrome thinghy and is it any good?

Google Chrome is yet another internet browser. It is fast, lightweight and very useable .... providing all you want to do is surf the usual sites. If you want the clever stuff (like addins in firefox) then it doesn't support that. Either way, it's miles better than Internet Explorer.

Google are also going to release "Chrome OS" - an operating system to take on Microsoft, primarily designed for netbooks, but will be available for all. It will most likely be based on Linux (like their Android OS for phones is), so will be secure and fast.

I just downloaded it but can't make sense of it.
Not instantly understandable.

Just had a fuddle with it and yes it is a LOT faster than IE.

It can be a little confusing to start with, however once you get used to the GUI, you should find it quite intuitive

Graphical User Interface ... Or in other words, the way it looks, where the menus are, the shortcut keys etc

I was in the Arcade and I suddenly thought it might mean Google User Interface so I shot back here but you beat me to it and I was wrong.
No I can't translate the French bit this is a family site. No its not that rude in France but Britain might be offended.

i do... i use mobile broadband and it doesn't appear to support linux
