how do I get emticons to work?

Finally plucked up courage to ask, how do I get the emticons to work ? Iv'e tried several things on a number of occasions but to no avail. Thanks.

2.3 blue.new leaf springs.changed drop down tailgate with rear swing door to take spare wheel.now not on the road awaiting repairs.

When typing your message, mover the mouse over to the right and select the emoticon you fancy and click on it :D in this case a colon and a capital D appeared in the text, which when I "Submit" turns into a smiley face

Give it a go :wink:

It worked :D but no wonder I didnt know how to do it because the emticon doesnt appear in the typing.Thank you trugga,drift and philmotman.Might do another one :D yes excellent.ought to add this one :oops: .because it is easy when you know how.

You can always use the preview button to double check if you're not sure :wink: :wink:
