My Dad had the same problem, he's 60 and computer illegitimate (his words not mine), print out the page below from the internet, grab a glass of wine / beer and a couple of prozacs.. and follow it step by step. He did it and it worked!, if you dont have an XP disc, search for a folder called "i386" on your PC, it will be in you C: or D: drive (normally).. the file wll be in there...

www.hotmail.com and log into your email account) and go to the 'tools' tab / button, there is usually an 'import to Outlook' or similar button, this will set your SMTP and POP3 servers.
