Computor broadband speed

Re: Computor broadband speed

I have BT 8meg broadband and when we first started using it we were lucky to get 3 meg download sppeds. Things seem to have improved recently tho and its achieving nearly 7meg most of the time. Unfortunately it does seem to be playing up tonight tho, keep having to stop pages from loading and refresh them or I keep getting time out errors.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

im with talk talk [for my sins] & they advertised up to 8 meg, living less than half a mile from the exchange i expected to get somewhere near the max speed but the average speed seems to be just over 4 meg ish with a highest ever reading of 5.2 meg.
i also have a pay as you go broadband dongle & although theyre nowhere near as fast as a wireless home hub on the whole i dont notice any difference between the two, however i dont really download much stuff, just the occasional song or picture , i just mainly surf !
broadband through dongles has gota be the way forward
WHY AINT I GOT AN ALL SINGING & ALL DANCING SIGNATURE LIKE BOXY & DRIFTY ?
