Removing the B Series Sport's rear roof section
Its very easy to remove the roof from the Sport B and once you know how to do it, it can be done in about 15 mins.
It transforms it from this.....
.......to this :D
Tools Required
All you need is a small, flat-headed screwdriver and a socket set. (the screwdriver i used was to chunky but it worked, you'd be better with a smaller one though)
Step 1: Roof bar removal
Using the screwdriver carefully work your way around the edges of the cover, prising the covers off the ends of the bars. There are 2 clips which hold these on.
There are 2 bolts per bar end which must be removed. Although these have a screwdriver head in them use a socket as they've been threadlocked in and you'll just end up with a rounded screw head. Once all of the bolts have been removed the bars will simply lift off.
Step 2: Rear window removal
First, unplug the plugs to the window heater. Second, Undo the plastic "rivet" on the rubber trim either side of the window. These simply pull out. Third, use your screwdriver to remove the covers to the four bolts on the window arms and undo the bolts. The window will now lift off.
I unclipped the wiper blade off the wiper arm and put it in a bag with the rest of the bits as it looks better.
Step 3: Undo corner bolts
First remove the corner covers by undoing the 2 screws top and bottom and then pulling the cover towards the rear of the vehicle Then undo the bolt and the nut shown in the box to the right and repeat on the other side.
Step 4: Trim and middle bolt removal
remove the storage compartment lids on either side. Locate the small, flat openings in the base of the trim. Using your screwdriver push it in flat and rotate 90 degrees to undo the clip and lift trim. In total there are 2 on the long face and 1 on the short face just out the bottom of the photo.
BE CAREFULL when undoing the clips! I didn't undo a few properly and lost a few of the clips down the back of the trim as they weren't fully undone.

In the direction of the arrow put the screwdriver between the seat belt and the roll bar to undo the clips on the inside of the second bit of trim.
Once removed just hook the remaining cover behind the seat belt buckle out of the way.
Lastly remove the bolt as shown by the arrow. Repeat to other side Keep the 2 bolts you've removed here to one side as you'll need to put them back in after you've removed the hardtop as they also bolt the roll bar on.
Step 5: Top bolt removal
Use the screw driver to remove the 2 covers at the top
Undo the bolts and replace the covers
The roof is almost ready to be removed. The last bit to do is to disconnect the alarm cables on either side and the roof drain tube on the drivers side corner.
The reason i've left this to the last step is the plugs are easier to access if you raise the rear end of the roof by about 3-4 inches. I had a small first aid kit in the boot which i stuck under each corner as i undid them
Step 6: Disconnect alarm plugs and drain tube
If you've got small hands, or if your plugs are conveniently located you might be able to get them undone with out raising the rear of the roof. I had no such luck as one of the plugs was hiding behind the trim and had to be coaxed out with the screwdriver, whilst the other was taped to the drain tube.
Once the plugs are undone you'll be able to get the drain plug undone. If needed you should be able to raise the roof a little bit more to access it without pulling on the alarm plug wires.
Once the plugs and tube are undone you can now lift the roof off. You'll need someone to help you here. You may find some of the seals have stuck to the paint work but it will come off easy enough with no damage to the paint. Lift the roof off by raising the rear end clear of the studs that can be seen in the photo above and then then pulling towards the rear.
===REMEMBER=== to replace the 2 bolts you removed from the base of the roll bar!!!!!!
All you need to do now is replace the trims and you're ready to enjoy your new cabriolet!!!! :D:D:D
Just follow the above steps in reverse order to replace the roof
