Looking
Only front plate will now be illigal as the rules changed a while ago concerning stick on plates and where they are placed.
They have to be on a certain angle and made of certain material now (presuming its for speed cameras and guns to scan you)
Aint got the specs though.
Still looks good

Plate is made with same standard as plastic ones, so used correct reflective one. In fact thats exactly same as 'normal' plate, just there is no plastic 'shield' and its sticked lol
Any ideas about new laws (angles/location etc)?
Still have got old one with me, 'just in case'
Im thinking about moving plate to bottom part of bumper (painted one in the middle)..

i belive the law says you have to have to have 2 number plates facing front and rear
look here

yeah, tried to put it on front of the bonnet (to get some angle..)
so it maybe good idea to move it to the bottom of front bumper then?
Done it only because managed to break my plate 2 times lol
Need bull bars! Managed to get genuine headlamps protectors (metal bars), cant wait to fit them as well !

Just had a quick check with my brother-in-law (a copper in these parts). Whilst the front number plate may not be technically illegal he recons a lot of traffic boys will pull and ticket you claiming they couldn't read it clearly (especially if they are sat in a normal car or in a bad mood). Whilst you could argue the case in court and "may" get away with it you probably don't want the hassle.
He says it would be worth your while moving it down onto the bumper purely for the sake of avoiding so much hassle. Easy guide to how to place your number plate, can it be read whilst sat in a normal car at about 50yds.....

Thanks!
But that all I can see here:
The British Standard also requires that a number plate must be marked with the followinginformation: - l The British Standard Number (currently BS AU 145d)
l The name, trade mark, or other means of identification of the manufacturer or componentsupplier. (The company who actually make the number plate.)
l The name and postcode of the supplying outlet. (The 'supplying outlet' is taken to mean acompany whose business consists wholly or partly of selling number plates.)
So havent got these marks. l There shall be no other markings or material contained on the number plate.
So FOG web address is illegal then?

What if I will move plate to lower part of bonnet, so it can be read? And what about lets say windscreen? (only wondering, dont want late on my windscreen lol)

OK, to quote him "The police will pull you if they cannot read your front or rear number plate, if you are heading towards them it is at about 50yds that they will decide whether or not they think you are worth pulling".
I think you may find putting it in the window is not always readable (condensation, reflected light etc).

There was a big whohah in the classic car world several years ago (probably 10 or 15, don't time fly) when they changed the law on number plates, can't remember the exact changes but owners of E-Type Jags were worried that they would have to put on traditional flat plates instead of the stick on type they normally sport.
Ended up with it only applying to vehicles after a certain date but I believe that the rules were it had to be flat and facing forward for a front plate.
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
