Postby dave1966 on Mon Dec 19, 2016 11:27 am

Hi all.

Does anyone use Shell V-Power Nitro+ Diesel and is it really better than other diesel fuel?

Our fronty is usually used for short journeys when at home, the furthest our fronty has been was Brightlingsea, Essex and Aldershot. I might try this diesel but I'm a wee bit unsure about it.

Will the fronty run alright on this diesel without any problems?

I try to but fuel from Esso, there's three locally to me as ratcav I think it was said my fronty would get more mpg on either Esso or Shell. It does go further than on Tescos. I get Esso as I can get Tescos points .
I did ask the assistant behind the counter about the more expensive diesel and he seemed to think it was better still.
I,ve never tried it as it's more expensive but I might out of curiosity. It wouldn't,t be to too much as I tend to only put 30 litres at a time in as a friend of mine used to drive a taxi and that's what he used to do as it saved a bit not carrying around a full tank.

We never let the fronty fuel gauge go below half a tank. I might give it a try for a couple of weeks to see how it works.

I've been using this diesel and it seems to be better than supermarket diesels apart from price per litre but I am thinking maybe it would be better on a long drive. Hopefully we can make it to the fog annual meet and see if this diesel is any good.
