Oil change on a 2.2dti sport a quick question

Postby frontera1 on Sat Nov 19, 2016 3:38 pm

Silly question, I was going to do a quick oil change today, first since I've owned this car, and I looked underneath to be greeted with a large engine protection plate. Does this have to be removed to get to the sump drain plug, or is it accessible with the plate in place. If I've got to remove it it goes from a 15 minute job to god knows how long depending If the bolts come undone. :?

I always take it off on mine,
More than likely you'll need to have it off again at some point so why not now, and then copper grease the bolts to make it easier in the future.
Only need to take 1 of the 3 off.
