This was slightly irritating last night when it fell apart during a u turn on the main road at 5 o'clock during rush hour when it was tossing it down with rain. It was only fitted 6 months ago for the mot.

Re: OopsI've just ordered another one for the other side as they were both fitted at the same time and the other one has a pooh load of play in it. Will see if I still have the receipt and send them both back to the manufacturer. All joking aside I had just come off the dual carriageway and it could easily have been curtains for me and others. I have never really looked at them before but I am surprised how mickey mouse they are. Perhaps it would be better to fit genuine VX parts rather than pattern parts when they are such life threatening parts if they fail. I would never gamble on cheap brakes so why take the risk with steering.
Re: OopsNot meaning to do a witch hunt here Mick but it maybe prudent to indicate where/who the supplier was. Only thinking that it could be an warning to others to be wary and if they have got the same flavour on their trucks to do a quick check to see if they have got excessive wear.
Re: Oops.. or at least the make/brand of the joint in question. The supplier might not be aware of the shocking build quality .. unless it is Milners. In which case they make a habit of supplying sub-standard parts.

Re: OopsI will be in touch with Euro Car Parts as soon as I replace the other one with a QH one. The one I fitted yesterday was from Jayar and was branded FAI Auto Parts, which I bought as I needed to rescue the motor asap. At least I will be able to run a comparison test between these two brands. Below is the link to the faulty part. When I bought mine they were £39.89 for the pair. ( Sept 2015 )
