sorry for off-topic, but a mate had a Grand Cherokee with LPG and these problems, too.
Problem solved by try and error - replaced this Lambda thingy several times till he got one and the ECU kept quiet. It was the cheapest one and made for a different car, as far as I do remember.

Same as Joel, SWB G wagon for me every time, would want the 460 model with all the diff locks and fit it with the old 312 model sprinter engine and transmission. That gives it an extra 30 bhp plus torque to cope with the 33 inch rubber that I'd fit.

Have a soft spot for the mk11 3.1 troopers, but decent ones' are thin on the ground. An original lada niva would be on the list also.

There's actually an importer that's selling Brand New Lady Niva in the UK again. I'll have a look and see if I can find the link for the Web site again.

Hi all. I like my Frontera but could do with something with more room inside sometimes. There is a lwb 60 Series landcruiser around here and I have often stopped by it and thought I would like one.

I have decided upon a Toyota Land Cruiser 3.0ltr D4D J120, its big, much bigger than the fronty. I will miss my Frontera though which is up for sale, she has been a great car for the past 12 years.
Not really had any probs with her except the fault code 342 which comes on every time the engine is started. Had the camshaft position sensor changed in 2008 but that made no difference, it resets with my built in diag tool, it's more an annoyance than a problem.
Once it has been reset it doesn't come one whilst driving, I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem and whether they managed to resolve it. The code relates to camshaft position sensor low input.
The Fronty was based on an Isuzu rodeo so its only the engine that was VX really and thats the only thing that seems to have a problem, which doesn't say much for VX, the rest of the car is good which is a compliment to Isuzu I guess.

Different axles and gearbox as well. Also it was built by Vauxhall under GM ownership in the UK .. unlike the Troopers and Monterey's which were all built by Isuzu in Tokyo.

Did you use a genuine Bosch sensor? people have had problems with aftermarket ones.

It was one from VX, which cost a lot of money for something so small. That's not the reason I am selling the car though, it is just so small compared with the LC that my head touches the roof even with the seat as low as I can go.
...an importer that's selling Brand New Lady Niva in the UK again.
A mate of us nearby (Krefeld) is selling Niva's. Officially Importe by Lada. Which makes a difference:

They take the original Niva, break the body, put corrosion protection in it and fit it together again...
You realize this by this black 'gum' between the parts oft the body. As this makes the truck living long er, it is worth to add the app. 1.500€ ...
Kind regards,
Ian

I have one, 460GD SWB plus a shed load of spares. Bought it with the intention of sorting it out and making it my Green Laning machine and fitting the Ssanyong Muso TD engine but it has been sat in my Sisters garage for the last year. TBH I am probably never going to get the time to do it so come the new year I need to take stock and decide its future. It is tatty but all there but does need bodywork doing.

At the moment there is nothing that makes me want to part with the SWB, unless I find another LWB worth keeping.

It had its first big outing a few weekends back at a P&P site and it was awesome

I had toyed with the ideal of a LandCruiser Colorado or Nissan Patrol but both would need time and money to get them to the same spec as the Frontera

I think there are 15 jobs that require the body to be taken off on a disco 3. One of them is replacing brake pipes if you go for genuine lr parts
