Silly question time
How can I tell the year of manufactur of a car that has never been registered with the dvla.
The car in question is from the UK
i hate having Dyslexia

Don't know the exact answer Andy, but I would have thought there are chassis/engine numbers stamp on blocks, vin plates etc. From there I guess the answer would be from the manufacturer.
I know my old mate Mr C (Greg will know who I mean) once told me motors under investigation could be identified by components labels with the serial numbers, i.e. light components etc. By under investigation I would have thought cut and shuts and stolen/cloned etc.

If it's never been registered in the UK Andy then the DVLA will have no record of it.
If it's been imported then it should have some sort of certificate of conformity and there should be a date on that.

It it's been supplied by a UK dealer but for what ever reason, never registered then you will need to speak with the manufacturer and they should be able to tell you based upon the vehicles VIN number although some will charge for this service.
