Now then, I've been asked by my insurer to provide proof of membership on the forum to qualify for discount on my insurance policy. How do I go about getting this?

Normally they want the url of the club ( www.fronteraowners.co.uk) and your username or UserID (yours being 14207) try giving them that?
My 2.8 shorty - now sold, and comments hereMy old dti - now sold "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW --- What a Ride!" Do that or ask them for a random number or phrase, put it in a post and send them the link. Or if they have an email address i can email them confirming your membership.

What insurance company you with.?
As I would be worried that your giving your insurance company access to any thing you post on here so info on repairs and maintenance and milage if you are claiming no mods but have lift kit and other mods fitted.
I would think twice about all the possible consequences before telling them your user I'd.
Just a thought as my old insurance tried to put my insurance up 400 because of being a member of a modified car club. Even if the car being insured with them was standard.
