Took it for its mot today and failed. A couple of things need sorting but it also requies some welding on all 4 corners due to structure corrosion that is within 30cm of the body mountings. Any advice would be helpful :(

I've got a mate who does welding and he is going to check it out tomorrow. His mig only goes down to 40 amps and he thinks that might be to high but need to see where it requires welding first and check the thickness of the metal.

That will be fine...I have a 185 amp murex that I run on about 1/2 power for bodywork stuff with 6mm wire sooner than 8 for thicker work.

Cheers for that Greg. We are thinking of fitting a cladding sill just on the rear sections of both sides if they do such a thing and any ideas the best place to get them.

It will be a case of making something up mate...just bend a piece of steel to the right shape and weld it over the top. Make sure you cut all the rot out and treat it before over plating though, or in a couple of years time your plate will fall off and the hole behind will then be the same size as your plate!

Today I fitted my new seats I got off ratcav.
I believe Those come from a nissan 300 ( Neal will conform this )
The drivers seat has 3 air bags in the back to support lumbar back & adjustable side wings
I had to modify the base so I could fit the runners from the original seats.

New set of tyres onto Truck and the old ones from truck went onto O-no. Both trucks now have the same tyres fitted so should make things easier now.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ;) )

Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck.
