the fitting should not be that hard but i think you have to remap ECU to get it to run

I would'nt evewn go there.

The LPG system on my sport is that complex you would need to get someone professional to fit it.

There is that many connectors, wires and pipes under the bonnet I would'nt know there to start.

I thought you had to get a certificate of installation or something to prove it was done by a competant person.... Similar to CORGI Regs???

Yes you do, most insurance companies will ask for a copy BEFORE they insure you.

A a safety check and certificate costs around £135.00 + vat and takes about 1 & 1/2 hours to complete.

Thats gone up a bit from when i had my Carlton with LPG fitted
a safety check and certificate only costs me £65 then but that was 5-6 years ago
