petrol fogers i need yor helpi need some help from my petrol fogers,
ok i need help as i am this is the read out from the emisions, flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
no, it was well up to temp, he tried 4 times, flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
from that read out ...it looks like it's running a bit rich
but i'm a derv burner so i'm not sure what to say
that makes two of us, its had all kinds done new exhurst new lambda, new cat, new plugs, and the list goes on, but jst to let the petrol heads know, its a c20xe, 2l 16v flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Looks like one of the sensors causing the ECU to make the mixture a little too rich. Had a similar problem on my 2.5 vectra and just trying to dig out the recipt from the MOT for the fix, was a sensor with a dodgy reading which was not quite out of natural range but really can't remember which one....

Some day it will be how I want it to be...
some one has said crank sensor, and then some one told me camm sensor, flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Found it, had failure almost the same as yours but also failed on HC in the first test, had Crank sensor replaced at the time and then got it through, though looking at the recipts I also had the camm sensor replaced about 3 months later due to fault light coming on....

I took my 1994 Renault Clio 1.2 in for an MOT yesterday - it failed on emmissions.
This morning, I added some petrol treatment and razzed it down the M5 to work. Handed it over to my mechanic and awaited the news - it failed on emissions. He changed the spark plugs and it passed next try. Try changing some of the cheaper stuff first before commiting to the expencive stuff. Lawrence
Can you get hold of cataclean? It really is the dogs b's. Put one bottle into the tank and go for a good thrash, that should drop it enough to pass. You may have an injector a bit gummed and giving the wrong spray pattern so you are gettin an incomplete burn. If not if you speak to Ste nice he's coming over this side saturday to pick up his brakes he may bring one back for you.

its all sorted,
stupid me, and yes i will be the first to admit it, three things that never even crossed my mind, 1. no,2 spark plug weak spark, (new set tomorrow) 2. air filter, (had a cone filter fited but the inside was black) 3. petrol tank was full of crap, (white sludge, i remember a while back i had a water leak in the boot, loads of water in there, so i pulled the bung and let the water out, not relising the water driped straight on to the tank, and some how found its way in, well there is a dodge seal around the pump,(there was) cheers guys flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I did mention old fuel a while ago. so close
Glad its sorted Ste

Did you you put an after market cat and sensor on cause i've put these on for people and to put it bluntly they are s**t i know its a lot for gen parts but looking at that the cat aint doing anything the other one could be air flow sensor giving wrong reading causing it to over compensate with fuel instead of air take it the engine light aint on
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!
only ater market part was the stupid rage back box and strait through exhurst and the cone filter, all changed now,
plus the the paper clip test is not showing any thing now just the number 12 dignostic check flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
all passed, woohoo, and then again aaaaarrrr the big girl is defo in dry dock at the end of the week,
flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Well done !
