my 2.2 B series fronty has a hole in the exhaust flexi?

the garage want about £100 to fix it but I wondered if they were expensive and how hard would it be to fit myself??

I like the concept of learning about my fronty so that I can do repairs myself, Also like the idea of saving the cash

thanks guys!!

From memory these are welded.........

Probably not too hard to cut the old one out and weld a new one in, however it helps if you have a welder and a rough idea of how to use it......

Have a look here exhaust

They are welded, so £100 sounds reasonable.

This guy on ebay is very good for Fronty exhausts: SDN

100 quid sounds way over the top to me.
Go to an independent exhaust place, (the ones that custom build stainless systems etc) and get them to weld a new bit in.

a think I will try such a place, only problem being is that I am from Johstone (in Scotland) but work in portsmouth.

I leave my car in portsmouth at the weekend wen I travel home. I will need to try find an honest local place that could give me a price!!

thanks again guys!!
