Fixed one problem, proved another

I think I fixed the sparking rear de-mister issue. Dribbled about 1/2ml of silver pain as used to fix the de-mister elements and left it to dry. Tested it tonight and I can't hear any sparking so until I get a bit of mist on it I can't really do much of a test to prove that it's just not packed up totally!

Managed to dig out the gps speed thingy as I believe that the fronty is reporting the speed wrong. Confirmed it and it was out a lot more than I thought - about 15mph high upto 45 mph. Bit too windy and too much traffic or roads too narrow on test drive for me to go faster and take my eyes off the road long enough to compare the readout of teh gps to the speedo. I know, wimp! but I'd rather that than be a kiddie killer! (yep the idiots would/have run across a busy dual carriageway at night in dark clothes where I live

How do I reset the speedo? Disconnect the battery for a night? Big hammer?

Ta :)

Its a physical connection. Ie cable into the box and the speedo clock. If you clamber under the drivers side you should see where the cable enters the box.

Blast :(

Nowhere to do work under the car where I live as it's parked on the (wet) street and idiots like to zoom up & down the road in their poxy civics etc

I'll ask the mechanics to look at it when I eventually figure all teh noises and get them to sort it all:)

Thanks :)

I don't know whether to be excited or scared at the possible change :D
