Brake Pipe Replacement -Alchamistright am calling on fog sprit here we need to help one of our membrs sort out his brake pipes in the stoke area .
We need someone with the flaring tool bending tool, pipes and fittings who has these lurking in their garage in the midlands plus any help from members who have done this recently we also need the tools etc in the manchester area A legend in my own mind
I've contacted jay and can get down to him on 26th jan and give him a hand anyother help would be very helpfull cann'nt get before due to work always gets in the way
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!
cheers john just trying to rally a few more hands here know jay wanted to go to fuddy bash
do you have tools and fittings A legend in my own mind
I have offered one of my passenger seats so he can get to the meet
(i know it's not the same as taking your own truck)
I'll rally the other guys (Myself, 4x4 Bobby, Manny and Truckosaurs) for the 26th January.
Between us, we've got an MOT tester, a peugoet Express fit work shop Manager, and a whole heap of tools, and quite a bit of Frontera experience. I'm sure we can sort it out. I can get the pipes already cut to size and ready flanged with all fittings, would just need to measure the lenghts required. Thats one for Jay to sort out. Give me all the required lenghts for each brake line and i'll get a trade price for them. Hope this helps.
fuddy not sure if jay has done this before anyone help him to measure them up know you have to add a bit for fittings
he was after coming to your birthday bash A legend in my own mind
Best to just to take some pipe and make them on site then you can get a rough idea of how they run and not have them to short can allways loose a bit of excess ippe in the odd bend or coil in places
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!
I always found the easiest way to measure a bendy pipe is to use string/thin wire, hold @ start point and run along pipe to end, lay out flat, measure and add a bit for ends/bends
What have I told you about Thinking Erroll??
Why the pics you just want to see dirty hands and faces and us all in a muddle
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!
Hi guys - thank you all so much. I will make sure I have the tea/coffee/bacon sarnie supplies in!
I have no idea exactly what I am looking for in terms of the pipes. Here's what the MOT report said The front brake apply/release is due to the caliper I am sure, and I have a second hand one all ready (though not sure the quality of that). Hope that means something to someone! Jay

Where abouts in stone are you i can pop down at 10ish for a look at the pipes might be advisable to do them all at the same time to save heart ache next mot and might be able to renew fuel lines with plastic at same time

flexi pipes for the slow calipers - can often be the innards of these breakdown and create restrictions to flow of oil. If you're doing some of the pipe system, may as well do the lot!
If you can get a couple of hoses we can do them at the same time never thought of those as well if you want

Ok Guys - who is coming on Saturday? Would like to know how much bacon I need to get
