Hi stupid question but here goes anyway. What size of spanner required for removal of viscous coupling on a 1996 2.5tds frontera.

On my 2.0 ltr engine I use a large extendable spanner upto 26mm I think and a pair of mole gripes aswell. Don't forget the thread is opposite lock, i.e to unlock you turn clockwise to lock you turn anti-clockwise.

Some viscous fittings have a allen key in the centre of the fan, but I think it depends on what vauxhall felt like fitting on the day your truck was made. :?

Tis 13mm on the 2.8 and 3.2 I think.
Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.

My 3.2 had 12mm, but i But I forgot to order some new ones so thay have 13mm on now lol
