Hi all last month my frontera decided that its headgasket was no longer required and without hesitation blew chunks of headgasket around the engine bay in spectacular fassion  .

Well last week it was taken away on the back of my mechanics low loader. Last night i received a call telling me that its all fixed and ready to bring home.

Its had new metal headgasket and all other gaskets replaced
Head skimmed and pressure tested new top hose new oil filter and sump plug.

And new plugs and leads

Its running fantastic now all i have to do is drive the nice gentle 500miles to bed the head back in and im sorted :)

Realy chuffed and it cost 130quid total :)

Have a good Christmas all. i will be now

The actual person who does the work on my cars is a mate he works full time as a mechanic in a garage but also does his own work on the side from his garage at home. BUT i can book cars in for work and he does them as he does all my mates cars
replaced clutch wishbones a drive shaft on my mates mx3 and charged 70quid 8)

So if anybody is local to me and needs some work done PM me and il be happy to have a word with him.

Where did you get it fixed? Might be useful since I'm not far from you.
