I will add again the statement released on 10th December 2007 at 10:15Hrs from the Transaction2007 website

Transaction2007 have decided to release the date and time of protest action earlier than scheduled. This is to enable the motorist and public to better prepare themselves for the coming action. This will be a nationwide protest extending to Northern and Southern Ireland.

A date of Saturday 15th December 2007 at 10:00am has been decided for protest action. This date was decided by members as the best possible to enable those who would normally be working during the week to attend. This action will be initiated at a refinery or storage depot somewhere near you. Anyone wishing to support action is requested to make your way there at the alotted time. Transaction again wish to emphasise the importance of legal protesting.

Please note: No member from Transaction2007 is available for press or media commenting at this stage.

OK what do peeps think, will having fuel protest do any good or not ?
and also do you think that Transaction2007 have the support of Joe public ? or will they just anger the general public by mucking up peoples plans for Christmas shopping ETC

myself i am in full support of trying to do something as it costs me £50-£60 a week in petrol just to take the children to & from school as well as going to & from work ,
also i support action against this government and the way they are ripping us off in every way they can .

so oil is nearly $100 per barrel! but the dollar is very weak at nearly $2 per £ therefore thats $50 in real terms the figures just don't add up , do they or am i missing something .

The International Civil Aviation Organization approach on fuel duty has served them well.

Go for it. Show this Government that the public wont be ripped off any more.

I currently spend over £160 per week on petrol and would agree to any protests, even if it meaned I could'nt work.

Well, Thousands were promised ......

Huge public support was promised .....

Total disrpution on one of the busiest days of the year was promised .....

Hundreds of police drafted in and put on standby .....

and as USUAL it's all fell flat on its face.

No more than 12-15 protesters at each oil refinery.

Typical of this country.................. :? :? :?

TALK ABOUT IT, CHANT ABOUT IT,
RANT ABOUT IT................

AND DO ABSOLUTLY BUGGER ALL ABOUT IT.

Why should BROWNS DICK TURPIN BRIGADE do anything about it when the people who it affects can't be bothered.

I left Stoke at 7.30am this morning heading to Stanlow in Cheshire. At 8am on the radio news, it was broadcast that it was cancelled.

Oh well, a bit more PETROL WASTED....

Maybe in the New Year something may happen.... If anyone can be bothered. :x :x :x

:soap box: :soap box: :soap box:

I'm getting off me box now and going to have a caffine fix.
