We were on our way to Hawes yesterday via the pass that goes from Wharfdale to Wensleydale, a trip we make a couple of times a week, and came across a couple of stuck cars which had to be pushed and pulled and turned round pointing back the way they came. Girlfriend took a couple of photos on her phone so I thought I'd post them. The farmer in the Nissan was trying to pull the Jag round using two strands of Baler twine!! so I lent them some rope. There was no way that these guys would have made it over the top where its 1:4 with hairpins... the Frontera didn't have any probs though. :D

Ha ha.. he was a right cheeky hawker type! He wanted me to tow him over the top cos he didn't fancy the 20 mile detour. Thats me walking back to the Frontera after telling him politely that I wouldn't. I gave him a shove back the other way once I'd moved our car and he wasn't grateful. Honestly there is no helping some people. The bloke in the Jag dished out 20 quid to the farmer in the Nissan!

ROFL.

Should've told him if he wanted to be rude you'd just leave him to dig his way out or freeze ;)

Nice of the Jag driver to give the farmer some dosh, that's always nice even if you don't expect/want or accept it to be offered.
The one time I got my Frontera stuck a farmer helped me out, he wouldn't take anything so I took him a nice bottle of wine from Australia for him, he loved that, thought it was really nice.

You're right though, there is no pleasing some people.
