Success !

That was SO easy in the end !

The white cord coming out of the back of the spot is now firmly earthed on the brackets.

The Live (positive) runs to the blue connector and then to the black and white wire inside..Pulled the blue connector off and clipped the two ends together with snap clips, then run a large amount of insulation tape around for added protection.

Ordered the relay correct from my local store for £4 and still cheesed off with Halford who sold me the wrong relay for £6.99.

Anyway, knicked the relay from the horn to test and Hey Presto it all works !

Now to get that damn steering sorted, Been doing the 1/4 turn thing but i cant get enough pressure on the cut screw to hold it while i tighten back the nut..whole things a bit rusty.

Car is going to a mechanic tomorrow morning so will let him do it and repair the binding rear brakes.

It looks like i might just get it ready for me trip from Devon to London a week today ...I will keep you updated.
This website and its members have been a life saver...Thank You all for your time and great advice
