I wanted a petrol as I was fed up with years of clatter clatter diesels  as well as the fact that the gap in fuel pricing was that diesel was now more.
The 2.4 came along at the right price TBH and as a VX virgin, I did'nt have any idea of the pro's & cons of the different petrol engines

Now it's a 2.8 but it started life as a 2.0, does that mean it's technically a 4.8? :D

The 2.0 just wasn't beefy enough and I wanted the reliability of a diesel so the conversion is still under way... almost finished though cept for the last few bits.

Bought a 2.0 sport in a bad state for way too much, knowing nothing about the frontera other than I loved the shape. When that died I new what I wanted, so I waited, and waited, and waited. After nearly seven months I found what I was looking for - a near perfect 2.8tdi sport for the right money.

Never looked back

I went with the 2.5 diesel for the simple fact that I am used to diesels. Don't like petrol cars, too expensive to run, less reliable if I get caught in a flood going through Welney and I can't abide the smell of petrol. I needed a bigger engine than my previous car in order to pull a fully laden horse trailer but not so big that it would need refilling every few miles. I hope it does what I want it to do.

2.8. bought because i was sick of drowning petrol engines off road, and it was the onlt diesel lump in an A series sporty.

love it.

I used to tax a cra for 6 months and the reminder to re tax was a reminder to get another motor (OK so I lived with my folkes them days)
Was totting around in a 4.0 jag sov and kept seing the same marron Fronty LWB flying around the main Island in Rugely.
I started noticing more around me and all seemed to be keeping up with traffic better than the usual 4x4 makes and went sniffing aroung the local dealers.

Got me first LWB A 2.4 in metalic Blue. Loved it, kept it 12 months, gew up moved out got married and had a nipper (bloody busy 12months  )

Had to have another and went 2.2 LWB blue again A, did the engine some misheif and swapped for an omega  orrible.

Got rid of that for a 2.8 LWB grey

12months later a 3.2 LWB which I love and found a 2.8 shorty to play in.
Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.
